Boxing

Boxing is a combat sport in which two participants, typically wearing gloves and protective gear, engage in a contest of strength, speed, reflexes, and strategy by throwing punches at each other. It is generally conducted within a square ring and governed by a set of rules known as the “Queensberry Rules,” which define how bouts are to be conducted, including regulations on the number of rounds, scoring, and fouls. Boxers score points by landing legal blows on their opponent, with the objective often being to knock out the opponent or win by points decision at the end of the match. Boxing is a sport that emphasizes skill, technique, and physical conditioning and is practiced recreationally and competitively worldwide. It has a rich history and is often associated with cultural significance in various societies.
